Reviews:

A truly beautiful Chateau ideal for the whole family

This proved to be an inspired choice as a venue for our family holiday this year. 27 of us, varying in age from 4 - 80, descended on Amanda's tranquil oasis in July and any pre-holiday nerves, as to whether or not the property would live up to the marketing, were immediately calmed because the chateau is truly beautiful. The property has been so well thought out on every level with great interior design, great landscaping, all the facilities you will need including all the toys to keep the younger members amused as well as having enough space for every guest, even in a group our size, to have their own space. The owner could not have been more helpful or charming. We would love to go back and re-live what was an exceptional holiday.
Wonderful holiday in fantastic chateau
Posted by Annabelle Patel

We have just returned from a wonderful group holiday at the Chateau. This property is truly exceptional and Amanda, the owner, is very welcoming. There were plenty of facilities to keep our group of adults, children and teens thoroughly entertained. We were particularly impressed with the attention to detail which had gone into making the chateau feel like a home from home. I would wholeheartedly recommend this chateau for a holiday.

Local Area / Activities

The Chateau is 3km from the historic 'Bastide' town of Ste-Foy-La-Grande which sits on the banks of the River Dordogne. Founded in 1255, Sainte-Foy retains much of the original architecture, and the covered archways in the town centre are still used today as focal point for the large Saturday market. There are several boulangeries, a small supermarket, boutique shops and restaurants. On the outskirts there are two large supermarkets. The Chateau is ideally positioned just 25 minutes drive from Bergerac International Airport with Ryanair and Flybe flying in from several destinations, including London Gatwick, Stansted, Southampton, Exeter and Bristol. Bordeaux Airport is 1hr 30 minutes away servicing even more UK and worldwide destinations. The famous wine region and town of St Emilion is a 45 minute drive away - an absolute must for wine lovers. Ste Foy La Grande train station is just 2km from the Chateau with interconnecting link to high speed TGV in Libourne 40 minutes away.
