General Description

This newly built Perigordine style holiday house with heated, salt water swimming pool, is situated in a quiet woodland setting. A superbly built stone house with wooden floors, oak beams, full of charm and character. The interior of the holiday house is extremely spacious, with a large lounge, homely kitchen diner and 3 comfortable bedrooms, two of which have en suite bathrooms. Lovely views, particularly from the private swimming pool and terrace, over the surrounding fields and countryside. Private parking.

Nestled in the hills above the village of Salviac, where you will find several bars/restaurants, general shops, depot de pain, bank, church and, just outside of the village, a small supermarket. Cazals, approximately 7kms by car, is another charming village with a boulangerie, mini supermarket, more general shops and a swimming lake. The main medieval market town of Gourdon, just 20 minutes away, is a vibrant town, full of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and pavement cafes.

Le Papillon is ideally placed for visiting all the attractions of the virtually unexplored department of the Lot, the beautiful Dordogne region and perfect for a calm, tranquil and peaceful holiday.

A recent review left by a family who stayed at Le Papillon in June 2018:
Le Papillon is a beautiful property, very luxurious and beautifully fitted out throughout. The pool is amazing and when we discovered it had a jacuzzi, it was amazing. The outside space was beautifully kept with loads of different seating options and a barbecue. Although there is a lot to do in the area, we were mostly happy to stay around the house, reading, swimming and doing jigsaws. We visited local markets and explored the caves. We very much enjoyed the variety of wildlife - especially the birdsong. All the information about the property was very well put together, and the owners were extremely helpful and supportive if we needed to ask a question. I would recommend the property without hesitation (and have!) my only quibble is that it is so far away! I would love to go again.
