General Description

Nº22 is a typical south-facing Charentais farmhouse in the village of Louzignac near Cognac. Built around 1840, the house is comfortably furnished, including some antique and vintage pieces, and simply decorated with rugs, ornaments, posters and pictures. While the house will comfortably sleep eight in its four bedrooms, it is also welcoming and cozy enough for couples and smaller parties to feel comfortable, and for whom we offer discounts.

A barn next to the house has been converted into a luxurious, tiled, heated swimming pool with large windows opening onto a terrace and the garden.

Nº22 has been our family's holiday home for over twenty-five years and we think it is very well-equipped, including WiFi, satellite TV and cotton bedlinen. One guest said: "This isn't a gîte! We have all the facilities of a 5 star hotel but with the comfort of a lovely home."

Matha is 8km away and has supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, etc. Historic Cognac is 18km away where there are shops, many restaurants, museums and, of course, the famous Cognac houses to visit. We can arrange private visits for tastings to small local cognac producers and wineries, as well as carriage rides through the countryside. There are various golf courses in the area, the nearest of which is at Cognac. The area is well known for its cycling and walking opportunties and suitable maps are provided, as well as some old bicycles.
