This is a delightful 17th century farmhouse in Aveyron, built of local stone and set in 16 acres on the edge of a hamlet with open rural views. This spacious property has been tastefully furnished with antiques gathered from the owners travels through Asia and the Middle East, giving an exotic flavour. Exceptionally, this farmhouse in Aveyron has a large heated pool with beach entrance, making it ideal for young children. The region surrounding this farmhouse in Aveyron is ideal for walking and cycling. The River Aveyron and the Aveyron Gorge offer opportunities for canoeing and kayaking.

Triple bedroom (1.40m antique bed and 2 x 0.90m singles).

Two staircases, one at each end of the house, lead to the first floor:
Master bedroom (2m Indonesian 4 poster bed).
Family bathroom with roll top antique bath and separate shower cubicle, WC.
Double bedroom (1.50m bed, low doorway), small sofa, cot.
Triple bedroom (1.40m bateau bed and 2 x 0.90m singles). This room can be accessed either from the landing or through the double bedroom above.
Bathrooms: 1 bathroom, 2 shower rooms, 4 WC
Kitchen: Kitchen/dining room with comfortable seating area.
Living Rooms: Comfortable living room (TV,DVD,CD,video), fireplace with wood burner.
Second, formal living room , fireplace with wood burner.
Outside: 16 acres of grounds including 2.4 acres of garden. Covered terrace with barbeque. Large, heated pool with beach-style entrance, ideal for young children (depth: 2m).
Additional notes (if any): Reduced rates on request for smaller groups of max 6 outside high season only.

The Aveyron's principal town is Millau, now famed for its new suspension bridge, an amazing feat of 21st century engineering. The fortified cathedral town of Albi, birthplace of Toulouse Lautrec, is just one hour away and sits on the banks of the River Tarn. Castres is home to the Goya museum. There are tennis courts and an animal park at nearby Rieupeyroux, which hosts a Sunday market. Location Information La Salvetat Peyrales 5 mins for local shops. Rieupeyroux 10 mins. Villefranche de Rouergue 20 mins. Rodez airport 40 mins. Albi 1 hour. Tennis, walking, cycling, horse riding and canoeing locally.
