‘We loved sitting on the terrace watching the waves’

Lovely house and owners. Great location. We loved sitting on the terrace watching the waves. Husband enjoyed using the owners' sea kayak. Kitchen well equipped but needed grater and colander.
‘The photos and description don't do it justice’
by: T Weston
We stayed at this villa with our two daughters, aged 11 and 14 and we all loved the holiday. The beach is great with the right combination of sand, rock-climbing and waves for body-boarding. It is busy in the afternoons in August, but we could go back to our garden whenever we liked. It was so great not having to lug anything down to the beach! The surf school use part of the beach and they are very friendly, offering instruction in English. You can book for just one lesson or even hire the boards for less. The house has a lovely sunny patio and garden and large bedrooms. The living accommodation is a bit small for four, but it was fine as we had good weather. There isn't any sort of shop that you can walk to, but there are a couple of local supermarkets a short drive away, which are open long hours. If you like Art or history, don't miss Gauguin's old home (a restored inn) in Le Pouldu or the gallery in Pont-Aven (half an hour's drive). Concarneau with it's old walled city makes a good day out. We would definitely consider booking this villa again sometime.
