Renovated to a high standard while retaining it's original features, you can savour the special ambience of this unique holiday home. There is plenty to see and do including mountain biking, horse riding, fishing or just laze in the garden enjoying a book and a glass of vin blanc in the beautiful surroundings.

The house has one double bedroom, a bathroom with shower and WC. The kitchen is fully fitted and equipped with a washing machine, freezer fridge and cooker. Adjoining is a open plan breakfast/dining area with a table for 6 people leading to a well proportioned lounge with a stone fireplace, satellite TV/Video and CD stereo system. The wood burning stove provides a warm welcome, a store of logs are provided in the barn. There is ample parking and the established garden is secluded, private and has lovely views overlooking the local countryside. The outdoor dinning area has a table and chairs to enjoy a fabulous meal in this great setting. The light and well appointed bedroom has a large double bed, a generous wardrobe and ample storage in an ottoman and a chest of drawers. Additional sleeping arrangements are available on a very comfortable sofa bed in the lounge area. All bed linen, pillows and additional blankets are provided for your stay. The bathroom has a basin, low level WC and a refreshing shower. Towels are also provided. The open plan living area has two sofas, pine furniture and the original flag stone floor. Relax and enjoy the cosy atmosphere around the wood burning stove after a day of exploring. The landscaped garden (approx. 60' long x 30' wide) is mostly lawn with established trees, shrubs and flower borders. The South facing aspect in front of the house enjoys the sun all day and is a great place for alfresco dining in total privacy. Enjoy the fantastic view of the surrounding countryside in this secluded and peaceful setting.

Area/Local Activities

The nearby historic town of L'Isle Jourdain is possibly one of the most beautiful areas along the River Vienne. Local attractions included: The water-skiing centre at Chardes Lace, a magnificent disused Viaduct and the Car and Motorcycle centre in Le Vigeant. Use the house as a base for a host of great local activities including: canoe/kayak, hiking, mountain bike tours, and fishing. L'Isle Jourdain has a large choice of shops and bars with a Tuesday market and Fair on the 20th day of the month.
