Map of location Property Description Le Cezanne is a pretty cottage which has a light, airy and comfortable open plan living/dining area with TV, video and CD player, and a door to the garden which is equipped with patio furniture and a barbeque.The modern fitted kitchen area has a fridge freezer, microwave and washing machine. Each room has electric heating installed. This cottage sleeps 4 people very comfortably, with one double and one twin bedroom, a shower room, toilet and wash basin. Bed linen and towels are provided. The shared solar heated swimming pool (7,3m x 3.7m. with a depth of 1.2m) is fenced to comply with the latest safety regulations The pool area has seating and sun loungers for relaxing with a favourite book or a glass of wine. Area/Local Activities The local village of Madré has a bar and restaurant, a boulangerie for your breakfast bread and croissants, and an excellent butcher’s shop. Madré also has an Eco-Museum depicting rural life in the 19th century , horse-riding and sign-posted country walks. You will love exploring Mayenne (allegedly France’s best-kept secret), with its streams, rivers, and forests. There are wild flowers in abundance, and you may see a red squirrel or a kingfisher.This region has some of the clearest skies in France. The starry nights here will take your breath away! Not forgetting the many churches, castles and Roman remains. Fifteen minutes away is the spa town of Bagnoles de l’Orne with its excellent restaurants, traditional shops, golf course, lake, casinos, sporting facilities and a large supermarket. Visit Lassay-les-Chateaux, Carrouges, Fougères and Domfront, with their mediaeval fortified chateaux and their markets. You could spend a day at the Normandy Landing Beaches or admire the embroidery of the 800-year-old Bayeux Tapestry.
