Property Description                              

This converted and fully restored stone built barn is situated approximately 8km from St Antonin and 3km from the pretty but sleepy village of Feneyrols. Corde sur Ciel, Villefranche and Caylus are all easily accessible, so this is an ideal place to explore the bustling markets and Bastide towns with their amazing architecture and traditional restaurants. With full central heating and a wood-burning stove it is ideal for a winter's break but excels in the summer with its pool (8m x 4m, unfenced) and shaded sun terrace, where you can enjoy spectacular views of the Aveyron cliffs and valley. 

 Initial access to the property is through the front door which is at the top of the external stone staircase. Here you enter directly into the open plan kitchen area which is well equipped with a fridge, cooker and dishwasher. From the kitchen you move to the large lounge area which is comfortably furnished and with a TV for use with the video player. There is a CD player, books and some family games. An internal staircase leads down to the bedroom area where there is a double bedroom, a small single bedroom, a bathroom with toilet and bath and a cupboard which houses the washing machine. A caretaker is close by to assist. Arrivals on Fridays.

Area/Local Activities

This beautiful and as yet hardly discovered area of south-west France is steeped in history and offers a quiet relaxing holiday for those interested in wonderful scenery, unspoiled French charm and excellent markets, food and drink. The property is accessible to the wonderful town of St Antonin Noble Val, a wonderful 13th Century town. Nearby are Medieval villages, Bastide towns, Chateaux, Abbeys, Churches and magnificent natural sites of outstanding beauty; whether it be wooded valleys or the meandering River Aveyron with its dramatic gorges.Horse riding, canoeing, fishing, bird watching, rail trips, rock climbing, wine tasting, museums, pot-holing, tennis and of course walking. Golf is available at Albi (18-hole delightful course), where there is also a water-park for children. An afternoon's excursion by canoe through the Aveyron Gorge is considered a 'must' by nearly all guests.
