Set in the outstanding Puy-de-Dome, Auvergne region of Central France, near the Volcanic Parks.  The medieval site of the Cross at the top of the Puy of Nonette is a popular tourist attraction for walkers and bird watchers. 

We are 5 mins from the A75 motorway (4 1/2 hours Paris, 3 hours Montpelier) so a perfect short-break for those travelling South or North for a holiday.  It is 2 1/2 hours to Lyon airport and 2 1/2 hours to Rodez.  Clermont Ferrand's airport and station are 30 minutes away.

Area/Local Activities

The region of Puy de Dome boasts many castles and Roman abbeys, always set in spectacular landscapes.  Vulcania the famous volcano park is 45 minutes from here.  Fishing, swimming, canoeing, birdwatching and walking can all be enjoyed in or along the River Allier at the foot of Nonette.  Gliding and flying can be enjoyed from Issoire Airport 20 mins away. Car and motorcycle racing near Parentignat, 10 minutes away. 

There is a restaurant in Nonette which we can book for you, and within a very short distances there are many restaurants, bars, shops and supermarkets.  Our nearest city Clermont Ferrand is well worth a visit with its spectacular black cathedral and superb shops.
