Alsace is renowned for its famous geranium-filled villages, its medieval capital of Strasbourg, picuresque half-timbered town, its famous 'choucroute garni' dishes and its crisp white wines.

The Alsace region offers a fantastic blend of both French and German culture and makes for a fascinating holiday.  There are many interesting towns to visit, not least the UNESCO listed Strasbourg, where you will find many interesting things to do, including a Gothic cathedral and a meander amongst the pretty timber-framed buildings.  Colmar is another town worth visiting with its very old wooden buildings.  The countryside is also beautiful with lush forests and hills, which can be explored on foot or by bicycle.  With its hot summers and mild winters, the region is well worth a visit.

Lorraine is at the crossroads of Europe being on the border of Belgium, Luxumbourg and Germany.
The region has been fought over for centuries by France and Germany and there is a strong Germanic influence. Lorraine is popular with nature lovers and hikers and is noted for its delightful medieval towns and villages as well as meandering rivers, rolling hills and wooded valleys.
