Our apartment is located on a quiet street in a typically residential, very untouristy, Parisian neighborhood. At the same time, we are only minutes away by foot, bus or metro from the many well-known sights found in the Eighth Arrondissement: the avenue des Champs-Elysées, the Arc de Triomphe, the Madeleine, Place de la Concorde, and the luxury shops along the rue du Faubourg St. Honoré and the avenue Montaigne. We are a short 10-minute walk from the Montmartre neighborhood with its trendy shops and restaurants and the Sacré Coeur Basilica. Also nearby are the major department stores on the Boulevard Haussmann (Printemps, Galeries Lafayette).

A short stroll away is the beautiful Parc Monceau, with its colonnaded duck pond, jogging paths and children's playground. There is also a very good gym around the corner for fitness junkies. The small streets off the Place de Dublin have many restaurants, boulangeries/patisseries, and other food shops. One block away, on the boulevard des Batignolles, is a weekly outdoor organic food market - including the dairy lady selling a gazillion different cheeses. The daily outdoor market on the rue de Lévis is also very convenient.
