Le Noyer at Les Prinquières is set in 8 acres of our own pastures and woodland to wander through at your leisure, collecting chestnuts and walnuts which, are in abundance when in season. There is also a small fishing lake where Kingfishers can frequently be seen.There is a 10 x 5 metre floodlit pool with terraces to lounge in the summer sun, a pool house with fridge and a covered dining area, complete with traditional barbeque. Plenty of sun beds, chairs and parasols are provided for your comfort. The pool is fitted with an alarm that conforms to French Government Safety Regulations.
Weekly bar-b-que’s are organised by the pool, with wine and salad, bread and cheese provided for any guests wishing to join in. In the shade of the trees, there is a traditional Boules court with lighting to play in the long summer evenings, whilst badminton and table tennis are also available, all equipment is provided along with a selection of board games all stored in the pool house. Situated in a peaceful rural location between Gourdon and Sarlat-La-Canéda on the Dordogne/Lot border, we are easily reached by road with the Souillac exit of the A20 motorway 9 miles distant.
Accommodation Facilities
Bedrooms:
Wooden open tread stairs from the lounge lead up to a spacious double bedroom, having a vaulted ceiling displaying the fine original beams. The bedroom is fully carpeted and furnished with a solid pine double bed, wardrobe and ample drawer space, pretty bed linen is provided and changed weekly. There is also a ceiling fan and an en-suite shower room.
Bathrooms:
The en-suite has a fully tiled shower cubicle, vanity unit and W.C.
Kitchen:
Le Noyer has a fully fitted kitchen complete with full cooker, washing machine, microwave, coffee maker, fridge with freezer compartment, iron and ironing board. Plenty of crockery and glasses are provided, in fact everything you should need for your holiday catering, there is a table and chairs with seating for 2. A door from the kitchen leads out to the patio.
Living Rooms:
The lounge is comfortably furnished with a large sofa and two cane armchairs, and has a radio/cassette/CD player and a small selection of books.

Cleaning/Towels/Linen etc:
Bed linen is provided and changed weekly, we provide a hand towel for the kitchen and tea towels. Other towels can be provided for a small charge, please ask.
Outside:
At the rear of Le Noyer there is a private patio complete with table and chairs and a gas bar-b-que. The patio looks out onto a large grassed area and a small lake, the grassed area leads into our own woodland where you are free to roam as you please.

Le Noyer at Les Prinquieres being on the Dordogne/Lot border is ideal for sight seeing in both departments, and close to the river making it easy for canoeing trips. 3 miles away is the Grotte de Cougnac,3 miles in the opposite direction is the Château De Fénelon, and take a trip back in time whilst visiting the famous Rocamadour, not far from there is the enormous Gouffre de Padirac, 40 mins drive is Cahors and 30 mins drive is the busy town of Sarlat. Beynac castle is worth a visit as are CastelNaud and Marqueyssac castels.
