Set in the heart of rural Normandy on the outskirts of the quiet village of Merri, Le Moulin nestles beside its river and opposite on of the oldest calvedos farms in the area. Peace and tranquility is assured although, riding, sailing, para gliding and much more are available in Swiss normandy about 45 minutes away by car.
Barbeques by the river are often a favourite at Le Moulin.
Accommodation Facilities
Bedrooms:
There are three double rooms, two with front (river) aspect. The third has a shower/loo en suite. There is also a twin room with adjacent single bedroom. Duvets and pillows are provided but not bed lined.
Bathrooms:
Le Moulin boasts two bathrooms and an ensuite shower room adjacent to double bedroom three. Fully tiled all have provision for shavers/hairdryers.
Kitchen:
The kitchen is fitted with electric hob, oven and microwave. There is a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and all normal small appliances and kitchen utensils.
Living Rooms:
The dining room easily seats eight. An open fire is seldom used because the central heatig is more than adequate.
The sitting room is a beautiful place to while away a few hours listening to the river cascading over the mill race.
Other Rooms:
The games room offers snooker (please be careful with the cloth) and darts; backgammon, chess, drafts, pinball are also available. A traditional card table is also available for players of Bridge etc.
Cleaning/Towels/Linen etc:
Le Moulin loves people. Guests are expected to respect it and leave it clean and tidy and replenished if consumables have been used.
A conceige is on hand if required.
Outside:
The large fenced garden which surrounds Le Moulin is for your sole enjoyment. A stroll around the island takes about half an hour, stopping off at Lower Sluice to cross the larger race to visit The Wilderness - well, as long as you lke.

Local Area / Activities
The nearest shops, bank and public telephone are in Trun, about 4km to the South. The (Shopi) supermarket is excellent; three bakers and two butchers ensure competition is rife and provisions of good quality. The market is on Thursday. Many other shops, amenities (including a swimming pool and a museum) and places of interest can be found in Falaise, 12 km to the north.
