La Gandonnière

Detached house in the heart of the Normandy countryside, with spectacular panoramic views. Not far from Mont St. Michel and many other tourist attractions. Three large double bedrooms, downstairs shower/wc, upstairs bath/wc, spacious open plan kitchen/diner/lounge. Very quiet location.

The lounge/kitchen is spacious, with beamed ceiling and wooden flooring. The room is purpose designed and does not, unlike many gites, have to double as a sleeping area. So it is possible to watch television when others have gone to bed. There is both French television (useful for watching the weather forecast!) and many English channels (via satellite). In addition there is a DVD for your use. The windows are double glazed, with shutters for use if you like a dark bedroom! There are electric heating convectors (wall mounted, with heat level thermostats) for the cold seasons. There is one bedroom downstairs, with shower/toilet adjacent, so if anyone in your group is older or less mobile, it is very convenient. There is a feature spiral staircase leading from that bedroom to another upstairs, which is especially light and spacious. There you will a sound centre for your audio cassettes or CDs. If greater privacy is required, there is a third double bedroom in the room above the lounge, which is accessed via an open tread straight staircase. There is a bathroom/toilet adjacent. Special note for those with young children: Please bring your own child safety gates.

Bedrooms:	All three bedrooms are large, with a double bed in each. No squashed in single attic rooms! One bedrooms is downstairs and has a shower/wc adjacent. One bedroom upstairs has a bath/wc adjacent. One bedroom has a sound centre (radio, CDs and cassettes). Superb views through upstairs windows!
Bathrooms:	Bathroom has raised bath and wc as well as wash basin, towel rails and warm air heater. There is a shower head near the bath, suitable for washing hair or feet. However, for those preferring a shower there is a shower room downstairs, along with wash basin and wc. There is also a warm air heater.
Kitchen:	The kitchen is open plan, in a spacious diner area with lounge adjacent. Plenty of power points, work top and cabinets. Washing machine, fridge/freezer, electric cooker (4 rings+oven), microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker...and more! Table and six chairs.
Living Rooms:	Open plan with diner. Oak parquet floor, beamed ceiling. Sofa for three people. One armchair. TV, satellite receiver (English free channels), DVD player. Large window.
Other Rooms:
Cleaning/Towels/Linen etc:	Linen, tea towels and towels provided. Hairdryer provided. Property cleaned before and after, but hoover provided for cleaning during your stay.
Outside:	Very large, enclosed grassed area to the south of the property, for your exclusive use. Loads of parking space, also for your exclusive use. Garden chairs and table, with parasol. Sun lounger.
