Chateau du Fraissinet

19th Century riverside chateau with six beautifully renovated gites and natural pool situated on the edge of the stunning Cevennes National Park. Each gite comprises well-equipped accomodation with its own outdoor dining area and wood-burning stove. Our bio UV pool (12x5m),fed by source water and cleaned by a powerful UVC light and plants, was completed in 2007 and has proved a huge hit. Other nearby swimming options are the river (adjacent) and nearby lake (2km) with beach, cafe and boat hire.
Children will make friends with the animals (donkey, pony, ducks and hens) and enjoy the freedom of our large grounds. Fresh eggs and home grown fruit and veg are often available. Friendly bar and excellent local restaurant are just a two min walk away. For a peaceful night out, baby sitting can be arranged.
The local town with a market and all facilities is 5 mins by car. Adventure parks, horse riding, hiking, kayaking, markets, medieval towns and roman architecture are all nearby.
To reach us fly Ryanair, Flybe or the TGV - we're just an hour from Nimes or Montpellier. 2 hrs from Marseille and Avignon.

Bathrooms:	Each gite has at least one shower room with wc. Les Pins has two showers and two wcs. Les Tilleuls has a shower room with wc and a sep wc
Kitchen:	Each gite has a well-equipped kitchen, except the Chateau apt (2 pers) which has a kitchenette. All gites except Caveau and Chateau apt have dishwashers. Les Pins also has washing machine. A laundry room with two machines is available for the use of other guests.
Living Rooms:	Each gite has a comfortable living area with sofas and dining table and chairs.
Other Rooms:
Cleaning/Towels/Linen etc:	Cleaning charges range from £30 - £75 depending on the size of gite and length of stay. Linen is hired at £8 per single £10 per double per week. A cot and hghchair are available on request.
Outside:	Each gite has its own outside dining area with tables, chairs and parasols. The chateau is surrounded by woodland and parkland so all gites have pleasant surroundings. Our ducks may come meandering past! Communal barbecue facilites are available in the courtyard - because of very dry summers we have to be careful where these are situated.
Additional notes (if any):	Internet access (wi-fi) is available free of charge at the Chateau but due to thick walls it may not be possible to access it from inside the gite. Change over day Saturday. Shorter or mid week breaks often available in low or mid-season
