19th Century riverside chateau with six beautifully renovated gites and natual pool situated on the edge of the stunning Cevennes National Park. Each gite comprises well-equipped accomodation with its own outdoor dining area and wood-burning stove. Our natural pool (12x5m),fed by source water and cleaned by a powerful UVC light, ozone and plants. Completed in 2007, it has proved a huge hit. Other nearby swimming options are the river (adjacent) and nearby lake (2km) with beach, cafe and boat hire. Children will make friends with the animals (donkey, pony, ducks and hens) and enjoy the freedom of our large grounds. Fresh eggs and home grown fruit and veg are often available. Friendly bar and excellent local restaurant are just a two min walk away. For a peaceful night out, baby sitting can be arranged. The local town with a market and all facilities is 5 mins by car. Adventure parks, horse riding, hiking, kayaking, markets, medieval towns and roman architecture are all nearby. To reach us fly Ryanair, Flybe or the TGV - we're just an hour from Nimes or Montpellier. 2 hrs from Marseille and Avignon.

Kayaking - on the Tarn, Ardeche, Gardon or the Ceze Canyoning and rock climbing Adverture parks - three different parks with ropes and zip wires suitable for children from 4 upwards. Horse riding Beautiful local walks. Nimes - fantastic Roman buildings and great shops and cafes. Pont du Gard - famous Roman aqueduct that feature on the 5 euro note (lots of river swimming possibilities here too). Steam train - very popular little train that runs through stunning Cevennes scenery and stops at the Bambouserie en route. Gliding, paragliding and go-karting at the nearby Pole Mechanique are also possible. And fantastic Mediterranean sandy beaches 90 minutes away.
